vel Praemonstratum, Gall. Praemonstre, locus, ubi Norbertus monasterium nobile, caput Ordinis Praemonstratensium condidit, in dioecesi Laudunensi. Caepit autem is institui A. C. 1120. Ex Prato Latini fecêre deminutiva pratula, et pratella; Galli preaux, presles, et pradelles: quorum nominum multa sunt in Gallia loca. Hadr. Vales. Notit. Gall.
